Clifford Ray Rice

Clifford Ray Rice, 22, 1727 Cruce St., died Tuesday. He was a botany student at the University of Oklahoma and was greenhouse custodian in the botany department.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mayes Chapel of Remembrance with Dr. E. Kenneth Feaver officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.

Rice was born June 28, 1951, in Norman and had lived all his life here.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy L. Rice, of the home, and a sister Mrs Linda Price, 1922 Twisted Oak.

The family has designated the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for the study of mental health as appropriate for memorial contributions.

I knew him from cub scouts where he was often the ringleader of our more mischievous exploits. Our families were friends and frequently shared meals often ending in their living room discussing their model planetarium. Ever inquisitive he always had a quirky sense of self.
